Munich (dpa) - In church services in Bavaria, visitors will have to wear an FFP2 mask in the future.

The cabinet decided on Wednesday in Munich.

With this, the Free State goes a little further than a federal-state resolution from Tuesday evening, according to which an obligation to wear at least one so-called surgical mask should apply in church services.

The state government is consistently continuing its line: Even in local public transport and in retail, an FFP2 mask requirement has been in effect in Bavaria since Monday.

On Tuesday evening, the federal and state governments agreed on a requirement for at least surgical masks for these areas.
