“4928 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of January 23, 2021.
In particular, 166 children and 261 health workers fell ill, ”he wrote on Facebook.
During the day, 1,862 patients with coronavirus were hospitalized in Ukraine, 116 patients with COVID-19 died.
Another 13,138 people were discharged after recovering from the coronavirus.
In total, 21,778 deaths were registered in Ukraine among patients with coronavirus.
Earlier, the chief sanitary doctor, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that the country could receive a vaccine against coronavirus in February as part of the COVAX initiative.
