Finally, the Berlin laboratory confirmed the presence of the "B.1.351" strain in the sample on January 11.
The state government of Baden-Württemberg stated that the test samples of the remaining close contacts are being sent to Berlin for analysis, and the health department of Zollen Alb County is maintaining close contact with the state-level health department.
On December 24 last year, Germany's first case of infection with the mutated new coronavirus strain "B.1.1.7" also appeared in Baden-Württemberg.
