According to a police source, the teenager was beaten while leaving the school by several people who then fled. He was found in a street "not far from his school", according to the prosecution. No arrests had taken place Thursday evening. The investigation, entrusted to the Essonne judicial police, should make it possible to determine the circumstances of the attack, according to the public prosecutor.

The events in Viry-Châtillon occurred 48 hours after the attack on a 13-year-old girl in front of a middle school in a working-class area of ​​Montpellier. The young girl was “seriously injured” according to the prosecution, who announced Wednesday evening that she had come out of the coma. “This ultra-violence is becoming commonplace,” commented the mayor of Viry-Châtillon.

According to the elected official, a psychological unit will be set up on Friday at Les Sablons college, in order to provide support "to the students but also to the teachers".
