The body of a woman stabbed in the abdomen and injured in the head was found Saturday morning in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, as well as the body of a man who had just committed suicide, AFP learned from a police source. Two investigations were opened and entrusted to the Parisian judicial police, indicated the Paris prosecutor's office: one for murder and the other to investigate the causes of death. The police were called around 8 a.m. Saturday for a man who had thrown himself from the window of his apartment located on the 3rd floor, explained the police source.
“Significant injuries”
The man, who "fell in the courtyard", died on the spot, despite rescue attempts at resuscitation, this source added. Emergency services then found the body of a woman stabbed in the abdomen in the apartment, this source said. The victim was in a bed and also had “significant injuries” to his head, she continued.
A loaded revolver was found in the apartment, as well as several photos of a man in “police commander’s outfit,” the police source said. According to the neighborhood, the apartment was inhabited by a couple, said the source, adding that when help arrived the front door of the apartment was open.
