The images of aggression are unbearable.

Yuriy, a 15-year-old college student, was hospitalized after this lynching on the evening of January 15 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

An investigation was opened for "attempted murder in a group".

It examines, among other things, the trail of an attack by a gang of young people from cities in western Paris and tries to establish the origin of the brawl, as well as the relationship between the various protagonists.

The trail of the punitive expedition

Investigators are trying to trace the thread of what appears to be a punitive expedition.

To do this, they obviously rely on the video of the assault, but not only: fingerprints and DNA traces were taken from the Beaugrenelle slab, the fitted roof of a shopping center in the 15th arrondissement, where the lynching took place.

Yuriy was playing there with friends, who had managed to escape.

Investigators suggest the assault took place in response to a gang clash ten days earlier.

Yuriy is out of a coma

Telephone analyzes were also carried out to determine the identity of those present on the evening of January 15.

One question remains: Was Yuriy personally targeted by this punitive expedition, or was he just a scarecrow in this clan battle?

A point that currently remains to be clarified.

Investigators from the 3rd district of the judicial police (DPJ) have not yet been able to question Yuriy, who came out of a coma this Sunday but remains at this stage unable to speak, according to statements from his mother collected by Europe 1. This remains at the bedside of the teenager, whose statements are eagerly awaited by investigators.
