In April of last year, a trial against former and current lawmakers and assistants from the former Free Korea Party, who were charged with obstructing the execution of special public affairs during the fast track submission of relevant bills, such as the amendment to the Public Officials Election Act and the establishment of a high-ranking public officials criminal investigation office, was held today. It was held in the Southern District Law.

It was only nine months after the prosecution that the formal trial began in earnest after the four trial preparation deadlines.

At the time, former hospital representative Na Gyeong-won, who led the fast track jersey as the in-house representative, also met with reporters before attending the trial to express his feelings.

[Na Gyeong-won / Former Liberal Korean Party (Current People's Power) In-House Representative: I am very sorry to the people for being in court like this.

I say it's a very sad and terrible feeling.]

After the trial, I added, "I did what I did to build a democracy of Congress."

Today, an accredited newspaper is scheduled to confirm the defendant's name and address, so all defendants must be present.

The defendants were 27 members, including 23 members of the National Assembly, including former CEO Hwang Gyo-an and former lawmaker Na Gyeong-won, and 3 assistants.

Today's trial will be held three times at 10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm due to corona infection concerns.
