The government will decide today (4th) whether or not to extend the 2.5 steps of'social distancing' in the metropolitan area, which is scheduled to end on the 6th.

According to the quarantine authorities, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (the main script) will post discussions on future measures related to distancing the metropolitan area this morning and finalize it.

The results of the discussion will be announced by Park Neung-hoo, the 1st Vice President of the Company (Minister of Health and Welfare) through a briefing at 11 am.

The government raised the level of quarantine in the metropolitan area to '2.5 stage', which is actually equivalent to the 3rd stage for a total of 8 days from August 30th to the 6th of this month as the number of corona19 confirmed cases has increased sharply in the metropolitan area since the middle of last month.

According to this measure, general restaurants, rest restaurants, and bakeries in the metropolitan area are currently only allowed to package and deliver from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the following day, and in the case of franchise-type coffee shops, no food is allowed in the store regardless of business hours. You cannot eat or drink.

Indoor sports facilities such as gyms, billiards, and golf practice areas are currently suspended.

The government previously explained that more than 470,000 business facilities would be directly or indirectly affected by this measure, but said, "We will put out quarantine and drainage for 8 days and do all we can to calm the spread of the metropolitan area."

The number of new corona19 confirmed cases fell to the late 100s yesterday, and the spread of COVID-19 has somewhat slowed down.

It can be said that the trend of the increase of confirmed cases has calmed down a little, but it is still not a situation to be relieved, as the number of confirmed cases is still coming out in three digits for the third week, and the number of patients with serious or severe conditions has increased daily to 154 yesterday. Comes out.

The quarantine authorities aim to control the number of new confirmed cases to 100 or less so that the medical response system and quarantine network can handle it.
