A landslide occurred in a hillside in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province due to a torrential rain and hit a nearby mask manufacturing plant. CCTV footage was captured when the building collapsed.
Today (10th) around 4:50 am, a landslide occurred due to heavy rain in a hill in Galsan-ri, Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si.
As soil hit a nearby mask manufacturing plant, two buildings were destroyed or covered in dirt. Pile of mud-stained masks rolled around near the factory.
There was no human injury because it was dawn time, and no one was inside the factory.
While the police and fire departments are controlling access to the accident site, Gimpo City is carrying out temporary restoration work using heavy equipment.
An official from Gimpo City said, "It was investigated that most of one building was damaged, and about half of the other building was damaged."
