This time, we will look at the road control around the Han River. Reporter from Seoul Diving Bridge is out.

Reporter Deok-Hyun Kim, let alone the dive bridge at the back, tell us about the control of the Han River or riverside roads.

<Reporter>

Yes, originally, as you can see on the diving bridge where there should be roads and vehicles, it is full of muddy water. As the water level of the Han River rose, the roads in downtown Seoul were controlled and released from yesterday (3rd).

The only places where traffic is still restricted are the Gaehwa Yukmun Gate, which is the road leading to Gaehwa-dong and Banghwa-dong, Gangseo-gu from Olympic Boulevard, and the diving bridge where I am located.

Yeouido, which was controlled until dawn, has resumed operation.

It is recommended to bypass the Naedokmok near Gaehwayukmun Gate by using Gayang Bridge.

Yesterday, some sections of the Olympic Boulevard and the Eastern Main Road were once controlled, and communication resumed as the Han River fell.

However, if the water level of the Han River rises during commute time, the service restrictions may be lowered in some sections again.

As the heavy rains may continue, you should use public transportation as much as possible on your way to work and listen to the police and disaster safety headquarters.

How is the water level at the diving bridge? The Han River Park continues to be closed, right?

<Reporter>

The water level of the diving bridge, which climbed to 8.79m yesterday at about 3:40 pm, was lowered by more than 1 m to 7.3 m as the rain fell during the night and the discharge of the Paldang Dam decreased.

It still has surpassed the 6.2m limit for vehicle traffic, but there is a possibility that it will rise again as a surprise storm begins around 6 am.

All 11 Hangang Parks in Seoul were controlled, and 18 rivers in Seoul, such as Jungnangcheon and Yangjaecheon, were also flooded.

We recommend that you refrain from unnecessary activities in the vicinity of the river, as rain in the central region can last for at least 14 days.
