The "WhatsApp" app has become one of the most important applications that millions depend on in communicating with family and friends. To facilitate the work on the application in the beginning, the application gave its users the opportunity to join each other in different groups as long as they fall under the list of contacts, but this matter caused inconvenience to many, as they found themselves members of groups who were not interested in their discussions and activities. Therefore, the app, in its recent versions, provided some protection tools for these people, such as preventing them from joining some groups without their knowledge, or their approval, by modifying the groups' privacy settings.

Therefore, if you are a user of phones running the Android operating system, and you encounter the same problem, you can prevent others from joining you to other groups without your permission, by first verifying that the WhatsApp application on your phone is updated to version number: «2.19.308 ».

Open the WhatsApp app, then click the navigation icon that appears as three vertical dots on the top right of the screen.

In the drop-down window, click on the "Settings" tab. From there, go to the "Account" section, then to the "Privacy" category.

Then click on the section “Groups”, according to which three options will appear in front of you, and here click on the first option Everyone if you have decided to allow anyone to add you to any group, or click on the option: My Contacts to allow those in your private contacts By adding you to the different groups. Or click on the option: My Contacts Except to exclude some of the people in your contacts from joining you in different groups.
