The agency explained that one of them directly identifies a new coronavirus, and the second can be used both to diagnose a disease caused by a new coronavirus and to detect another dangerous disease - a severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS or SARS), also known as “atypical” pneumonia".
As stated in Rospotrebnadzor, the developed tools make it possible to detect the disease already in the early stages, which allows the implementation of emergency laboratory diagnosis of cases suspected of infection caused by the new coronavirus.
It is also reported that the tactics of anti-epidemic measures will be adjusted taking into account information coming from China and the World Health Organization.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian authorities strengthened sanitary-quarantine control at checkpoints on the border with China in connection with the spread in the PRC of a new coronavirus.
