The police found investigation two months after a North Korean woman in her 40s died with her six-year-old son.

The Seoul Gwanak Police Station yesterday said Monday that a 42-year-old North Korean woman, Han Mo, was found dead with her 6-year-old son Kim Mo in a rented apartment in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu last month.

After several months of not paying water, the apartment manager who came home found two people and reported them to the police. Police estimate that the body is in corruption for about two months.

At the time, Mr. Han's mother's house had no food, such as water or drinks, but only red pepper powder. The police said, “There is nothing to eat in the house at the time of discovery, so I have the possibility of death,” he said. “There is no charge of suicide or killing at this time.” We also commissioned an autopsy from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation to investigate the exact cause of death.

Han reportedly defected in 2009 and came to South Korea via China and Thailand. It was reported that he lived alone with his son without proper punishment, and made a living with a nursing allowance of 100,000 won a month when the child allowance, which was presented to his son in March, was cut off.
