“The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle from the Baikonur cosmodrome with the Fregat upper stage and the first Arctic-M hydrometeorological satellite is scheduled for June 2019,” a source said.
It is noted that the specified satellite is designed to monitor climate and the environment in the Arctic region.
At the end of December, the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Russian remote sensing satellites Canopus-V was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome.
