Today, Saturday, the Kuwaiti News Agency, quoting an Emiri order, said that Crown Prince Sheikh Nawwaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will temporarily assume some constitutional prerogatives for the country's emir, after Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is hospitalized for examinations.

The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs in Kuwait, Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, said that "an Emiri order has been issued to seek the assistance of His Highness the Crown Prince to exercise some of the prerogatives of His Highness the Emir of the country temporarily."

The agency reported earlier that the Emir of the country, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, 91, was hospitalized today for medical exams.

On the other hand, Qatar News Agency reported that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, had this evening telephoned the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during which he reassured his health.
