July 09, 2020 "Entry ban for those arriving from countries at risk". An order was signed by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, after hearing the ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Interior and Transport.

Prohibition of entry and transit in Italy therefore for those who in the fourteen previous days have stayed or transited in 13 countries: Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Kuwait, North Macedonia, Moldova, Oman, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic. "In the world the pandemic is in its most acute phase. We cannot nullify the sacrifices made by the Italians in these months," says Speranza.

In order to ensure an adequate level of health protection, direct and indirect flights to and from the countries indicated in the ordinance are also suspended. The choice, the minister underlines, was that of "maximum prudence".
