Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Sultan of Oman in his first speech to the nation today called on citizens to complete the construction process led by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taymur within 50 years, stressing his intention to go to restructuring the state’s administrative apparatus and modernizing the system of legislation and laws, performance governance, integrity, accountability and accountability.

Sultan Haitham said in the speech - which was broadcast on national television and radio stations - that Oman is on the threshold of an important stage of development and construction, pointing to the start of implementing the future vision "Oman 2040" and interacting with current international challenges and their effects on the region.

He said in his speech that youth are the wealth of nations and their inexhaustible resource, stressing the eagerness to listen to them and that they will find the care they deserve. He also stressed that interest in education, scientific research and innovation is a national priority.

He expressed his concern for the partnership of citizens in making the country’s present and future, and for women to enjoy their rights guaranteed by law, and working with men side by side in various fields in the service of their country and society.

The economic aspect
On the economic side, Sultan Haitham stressed the work to implement a comprehensive review of the actions of government companies to develop their performance and raise their efficiency, and stressed the simplification of procedures and support for small and medium enterprises, especially those based on innovation, artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

He added that he will give all care to developing the national employment framework as one of the pillars of the national economy in the public and private sectors.

And he expressed his complete keenness to direct the country's financial resources in an optimal way in a way that guarantees reducing the debt and increasing the income, while directing the government to achieve financial balance and promote economic diversification.

In foreign policy, Sultan Haitham stressed that Oman continued to broadcast the message of peace around the world, stressing the path of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Siad bin Taymur.
