Recently, with the rapid spread of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19), mainly in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, an increasing number of countries are restricting their entry into Korea or recommending refusal to travel to Korea.

The government is committed to explaining Korea's defense efforts abroad to prevent excessive response, but there is a possibility that this measure will be expanded if the number of domestic clinicians increases rapidly.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there have been 12 countries that have banned or strengthened their entry procedures from Korea through corona-related measures.

Israel bans foreigners from entering South Korea by returning approximately 130 Koreans on Korean Air KE957, which arrives in Tel Aviv on July 22 at 7:30 pm local time.

The aircraft departed for Israel prior to the decision to ban entry, but Israel blocked entry without prior notice due to the recent surge in people infected with Corona19 in Korea.

Bahrain has also banned foreigners from South Korea and other affected countries within the last 14 days.

Bahrain residence permit holders of Korean nationals are allowed to enter the country, but are subject to enhanced quarantine such as medical tests and quarantine.

Samoa, an island nation in the Pacific, is required to conduct self-isolation for more than 14 days in a non-corona country and submit a medical examination before visiting Korea.

American Samoa is required to stay in Hawaii for 14 days upon arrival.

Brunei has designated Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand as high-risk countries and have been monitoring their health for 14 days.

In the UK, visitors from seven countries, including Korea, self-contain and report any symptoms within 14 days.

Oman conducts self- and institutional quarantine for 14 days when visiting Oman from Korea, China, Iran and Singapore.

Ethiopia also requires 14 days to refrain from contact with family members and cooperate in providing health status information when arriving from a diseased country such as Korea.

Uganda has also visited and visited affected countries such as Korea, and if there are any suspected symptoms, they are demanding self-isolation for 14 days.

More and more countries are calling attention to Korea.

The US Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have upgraded their travel alerts to Korea in two phases with Japan on Monday.

The second phase, "enhanced caution," does not ban travel to Korea, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that there is no effect on Koreans entering the United States.

According to the UK government's website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on August 22 that the Korean government has designated Daegu and Qingdao, which Corona 19 is spreading, as a 'special management area'.

In order to prevent excessive entry restrictions and restraint of travel, the government plans to accurately communicate to South Korean government its South Korean defense efforts and corona19 outbreaks.

Although the number of domestic doctors increased, it was not limited to the spread of the whole country, but limited to some areas such as Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

However, quarantine is part of each country's sovereignty, so even if some countries overdo it, it will not be easy for the government to reverse it.

Foreign Ministry officials said, "We can misunderstand or overestimate our situation in foreign countries, so we will explain it well and try to solve it when the inconvenience of the foreign government causes people's inconvenience."
