February 23, 2020 With 152 confirmed cases of coronavirus, just announced by the Italian Commissioner for Civil Protection Angelo Borrelli, Italy becomes the third country in the world by number of infections.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, China with almost 77 thousand cases remains the most affected country, followed by South Korea, with 602.

Italy undermines Japan, where there are currently 135 cases. Furthermore, there are a further 630 cases of contagion registered on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, which however is not mentioned among the countries but classified as "other".
