Jonas Falk was suspected headman in the well-known “Playa goal”. It involved a shipment of several tons of cocaine from South America to Europe.

The district court sentenced him to 18 years in prison. He was then released in court.

Jonas Falk has, after the convicting sentence, carried out a long process for damages for the time he was wrongfully deprived of his liberty.

But now the formal decision will be that the partners have reached a settlement which means that the Justice Chancellor (JK) will pay SEK 2 million to Jonas Falk, in addition to the SEK 1.6 million he has already received.

Arrested again

The Playa target is thus completed in Sweden. But Falk is facing charges in Spain for financial crimes linked to the same investigation. The case has been delayed for several years and is scheduled to go to trial later this year, Expressen reported on January 10, 2020.

In September 2019, Spanish police stormed his villa outside Barcelona and arrested Falk on suspicion of another major drug target. Some time later, he was released when a court rejected the prosecutor's arrest claim. No charges have yet been brought in the case, Expressen stated at the time.
