by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 17 January 2020 It was found brilliant to use the POS to cover sexual services if there had not been an anonymous complaint to the police.

It happened that, in the hinterland of Venice, some lap dancers to prostitute themselves left the room where they worked, taking the 'pos' terminal with them to get their credit card services paid by customers.

The singular fact emerged following the investigations of the Venice Flying Squad, which discovered a 'round' in which fifty girls were involved, all from Eastern Europe, mainly Romanian, employed in two night clubs, one in San Donà di Piave and the other in Quarto d'Altino. The two premises were closed in the investigators' blitz.

The managers of the night clubs, two 40- and 44-year-old men originally from Jesolo (Venice), ended up in prison, by order ordered by the deputy prosecutor Federica Baccaglini and issued by the investigating magistrate Davide Calabria, while a Romanian citizen ended up at home a 35-year-old resident of Jesolo, a 70-year-old man from San Donà and another 66-year-old man from Portogruaro, who dealt with the logistical organization. In total there were five pre-trial detention orders , two in prison and three under house arrest. Everyone is accused of aiding and exploiting prostitution .

The investigation began a few months ago after an anonymous complaint. The girls, hired with regular contracts as collaborators in the night clubs, were induced to sexual services inside the privé, which cost 150 euros per half hour, in the hotel around 500 euros or at the customer's home, with a price around 1,500 euros . The young women gave the managers of the night clubs 50 to 70% of the income.

In the event of a performance outside the club, the items brought by the women to check to allow customers to pay by credit card. Pos were used to mask payments for sexual services by purchasing bottles of drinks or alcohol on the premises.
