The presidential envoy will present on December 13 the acting head of the Irkutsk region

Presidential Envoy in Siberia Sergei Menyaylo on Friday, December 13, will present to deputies and the government of the Irkutsk region the interim regional governor Igor Kobzev.



This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a representative of the apparatus of the plenipotentiary.

“The presentation of the acting governor to the deputies of the legislative assembly and members of the government of the Irkutsk region will take place today,” he said.

On December 12, Russian leader Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Irkutsk governor Sergei Levchenko of his own free will.

The acting head of the region was appointed Igor Kobzev, who served as deputy head of the Ministry of Emergencies.
