- There were ten people on the list, but we're already in it, says hairdresser Ann-Sofie Pasalic Nilsebo. I think it will be closer to twenty during the day.

The guests have traveled together from Uppsala City Mission's day operations Mikaelsgården.

Hope for tradition

It's just lunch. Ann-Sofie Pasalic Nilsebo is in the mood at Grillska high school's hairdressing salon. Next to her colleague Elin Carlsson. This is the second year in a row that they are welcoming guests to Mikaelsgården, and they hope it will be a tradition.

- We long for this day. Last time was the best day in a long time, you get totally warm in your heart, says Elin Carlsson.

Back to back closest to the window are Rojne Thorsén and Birgitta Tärnlund. She colors and he winds.

- It was nice to be nice in the hair for Christmas, says Birgitta Tärnlund. And fun to be back.

This is the first time she is here and is cutting. But not the first time in the building. She worked as a cleaner when the school was built.
