Gabon is suspended on Ali Bongo's return this Saturday after nearly five months of absence following a stroke in Saudi Arabia and a long recovery in Morocco. His supporters are happy as many Gabonese still doubt the president's ability to run the country.
The CEO, the ruling party that had been on a low profile since the announcement of Ali Bongo's illness, has regained its usual fervor. The party beat the call of its troops to reserve a delirious welcome to the head of state. Very large quantities of t-shirts welcoming the president are already available.
The Vice President of the Republic, Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou, who still claims the opposition, also delivered a message to the nation to call the Gabonese to move massively towards the airport Léon Mba. Ditto for some parties of the presidential majority.
This strong mobilization raises, however, doubt among some Gabonese. "Why a triumphal welcome now that during his last two stays in Gabon , Ali Bongo has arrived and gone on the sly?
