[Explanation] Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Hong Kong's epidemic prevention supplies are in short supply, and masks have become a popular commodity on the market. On February 23, the Hong Kong non-governmental organization "Community-wide Anti-epidemic Link" held a "Million Masks Donate Love" campaign to distribute masks to vulnerable groups in the 18 districts of Hong Kong and the elderly over 65 years old, with a total of more than 1 million.

[Explanation] On the same day, the launching ceremony of the "Million Masks Showing Love" campaign was held at Xiaoxiwan Market, Chai Wan, East District, Hong Kong Island. Chen Zhenbin, the general convener of the "Hong Kong Community Anti-epidemic Connection" pointed out that the virus is the common enemy of everyone, and he hopes that all sectors of the community will work together to fight the epidemic. He also hopes that the supply and demand balance of the epidemic prevention materials will be restored as soon as possible, and the price of masks should not be pushed up.

This is to help each other. It is a good solution for every citizen in need in Hong Kong. We hope that the price of masks will not be speculated by others and balance the market. We will take care of those who need it.

[Explanation] After the launching ceremony, the distribution of masks will begin immediately, and each citizen can receive 1 pack of 5 masks. Xiaoxiwan Market was one of the distribution points of the day, and many neighbourhoods rushed around in excitement. Many of the elderly in the team, with the help of volunteers, were in good order at the scene. Citizen Ms. Dai said that the masks at home now can only be used for four or five days. This pack of masks has solved her urgent needs.

I am very happy to get this pack of masks. Now the masks are so nervous that our elderly people can't line up when they come out. Now we dare not go out without masks.

[Same period] Hong Kong citizen Ms. Ho

Thank you so much! If you don't count the (outside) daughter, now there are dozens of (three masks) for three people, which is enough for one month. Thank you very much!

[Explanation] It is reported that the "Hong Kong Community Anti-epidemic Link" initiated by people from all walks of life in Hong Kong was established in Hong Kong on February 6th. It is hoped that the city will work together to fight back the new crown pneumonia epidemic and return Hong Kong to normal life as soon as possible. The organization has previously distributed more than 700,000 masks to vulnerable groups and the elderly in 18 districts in Hong Kong, and has continued to provide epidemic prevention support in communities with newly diagnosed cases in Hong Kong. At the same time, they are also ordering anti-epidemic materials to provide support to the community and promote anti-epidemic operations in Hong Kong.
