The city of Carentan was unblocked by gendarmes on Tuesday, November 20 late in the morning. Three roundabouts were blocked.

Three roundabouts were blocked at Carentan during the movement of the yellow vests. The city was one of the bastions of the movement since Saturday.

On Tuesday, November 20, around 11 am, the yellow vests of the Palmiers roundabout, west of the city, were repulsed by forty soldiers of the gendarmerie commanded by the commander of the company of Saint-Lô. The many blocked trucks were able to leave again.

The device was lighter then at the roundabout of Olives, Périers road. Two cars of the gendarmerie passed around 12 pm, to ask the demonstrators to remove their filter dam. What they did immediately, but very bitter.

The traffic is reopened on the roundabouts of Carentan. | WEST FRANCE

In the calm

The last blocked roundabout was at Saint-Hilaire-Petitville, east of the city. Warned, the yellow vests had started to store their survival gear. At the arrival of the police who approached slowly, the yellow vests applauded them, then they retreated quietly, while the gendarmes restored the circulation.

Everything went off without incident, in the greatest calm.
