New My Number card design proposal announced; gender designation removed. The Digital Agency announced a design proposal on the 19th, with a policy of introducing a new card in 2026, when some people will renew their My Number cards.
The gender listed on the current card will be deleted, and the expiry date, which used to be 5th or 10th birthdays from the date of issue, will not be renewed. To prevent this, we are extending each period by one month.
