Russian Foreign Ministry: Kyiv will not rush to abandon the transit of Russian gas. The contract with Russia expiring in 2024.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico allowed continuation of gas transit through Ukraine in 2025. On March 18, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced that Kyiv does not plan to extend the gas transit contract with Gazprom after December 31, 2024. Russian leader Vladimir Putin emphasized that the Kyiv authorities continue to receive money from Russia for gas transit.
