Two Toulouse police have been sleeping in prison since Monday. They allegedly took money from a speeding delivery man. Finally, it was thanks to their victim's phone that they were unmasked, and more specifically thanks to the tape recorder application which made it possible to record the entire deal.
The case took place on Friday, the evening of Valentine's Day. There is no shortage of orders for sushi platters for this delivery man who crosses the town of Colomiers north of Toulouse. Except that he goes too fast, and is stopped by a peacekeeper and a brigadier. He risks a license suspension. The two police officers then offered him a deal: no fine in exchange for several hundred euros.

Audio recording as evidence
The delivery man accepts, goes to withdraw money and hands the bundles to the two police officers, but all this after taking care to record the entire conversation. Back at the restaurant, he tells his boss everything, and the two men will then file a complaint, taking care to provide the audio recording of the scene.
The prosecution opened a judicial inquiry led by the SRPJ of Toulouse and the IGPN of Bordeaux, the police force. The two police officers were identified and arrested. They admitted the facts, which led to their indictment for corruption, and their detention on remand. Now, investigations are continuing to find out if these arrangements were a habit of the two men.
