Vandalism on the sidelines of the demonstrations of "yellow vests" have cost 200 million euros to insurers since the beginning of the movement until March 16 included, according to an estimate published Tuesday by the French Federation of Insurance (FFA) .

Almost all of this sum, or € 175 million, was paid to companies to compensate for the damage and the loss of farms. The remaining 25 million euros were spent on car and housing compensation, the FFA said when presenting the annual results of the insurance sector.
