Samsung had announced to "carefully examine" the damaged smartphones and the causes of the problems. Part of the damage, according to the company, apparently due to the fact that the testers had removed the thin protective film of the smartphone.

In the future, users should be explicitly and clearly warned about this. The launch in the US is scheduled to take place on April 26, as planned. On May 3, the mobile phone is expected to be sold in Germany.

The Chinese competitors Huawei and Xiaomi want to bring foldable smartphones on the market, but dates are not yet known.
