Two men were indicted and imprisoned after the death of a 31-year-old woman on the night of Wednesday to Thursday.
The events took place in Montigny-lès-Metz, in Moselle.
One of the two suspects is indicted for “murder by spouse”, while the second is for “murder by a person in a state of intoxication”.

One of the two suspects, born in 1999, was indicted for "murder by spouse", offenses punishable by life imprisonment.
He is already known to the judicial services for having been convicted on several occasions.

He has no criminal record.
According to the Metz public prosecutor's office, the autopsy carried out on the victim's body on Friday confirmed that the victim's death was linked to violence and not accidental.
The police were called around 1 a.m. during the night from Wednesday to Thursday due to noise coming from an apartment in Montigny-lès-Metz.
On site, they discovered an injured woman and the two men, who were arrested and taken into police custody.
The victim, taken to hospital, died from his injuries.

According to the Minister of Justice Éric Dupond-Moretti, there were 94 feminicides in 2023, compared to 118 in 2022.
