The teacher was “suspended as a precautionary measure during the investigation”

According to the newspaper, at least four complaints were filed by families of students reporting "physical and psychological violence" on the part of a teacher in Belin-Béliet, a small town of 5,500 inhabitants, about fifty kilometers away. south of Bordeaux.

Injuries to one ear were observed on two children, as well as disturbed behavior on the part of certain students, such as night terrors.

The teacher in question was “suspended as a precautionary measure during the investigation”, declared the Bordeaux rectorate to AFP.

According to the administration, the statements of the parents of students were taken "very seriously" and the situation is "closely monitored" by the Directorate of Departmental Services of National Education (DSDEN).

“In order to support the school in this circumstance and in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of the children, an inspector and a psychologist from National Education are going to the site,” added the rectorate.
