For the second year, Cinco Jotas

100% Iberian acorn-fed ham

will once again be the protagonist at the Governor's Ball,

the official party of the Oscar Awards

that will take place on March 10 at the Dolby Theater Los Angeles.

Once again (and it has been 30 years), the prestigious chef

Wolfgang Puck

, owner of a dozen restaurants around the world, will be in charge of the official menu of the event, which will have more than 1,500 guests, and which will not be lacking the coveted Spanish product.

The American chef of Austrian origin met and fell in love with Cinco Jotas ham a long time ago and decided to include it for the first time on the menu of the 2019 Oscar gala, the year in which he celebrated his 25th anniversary as chef of the event.

After the great reception at the time, Puck once again includes dishes of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham in this edition.

The product will be presented freshly cut with a knife by

master Raúl Garrido

, official cutter of the Spanish brand in the United States.

"This year we have this spectacular and fabulous Cinco Jotas ham from Spain, my favorite. We will continue to enjoy it every year as long as our master cutter Raúl Garrido can accompany us and teach us the perfect cut," declared Wolfgang Puck.

During the official presentation of the menu, Raúl Garrido showed attendees

the perfect cut of a slice

of Cinco Jotas ham.

At the gala on March 10, he will be accompanied by another cutter to supply the guests' demand.

10 hams

Up to ten Cinco Jotas hams have been planned

for the event

to respond to demand.

"

My task is to prepare and cut it for the guests to enjoy. Cinco Jotas ham is highly appreciated in the American market, they have tremendous admiration for the product and it is always a hit on the menu. In 2019 we cut five hams, a total of "Approximately 3,000 slices," declares Raúl Garrido, brand ambassador in the United States for six years.

"We are happy that the prestigious chef Wolfgang Puck has chosen us again to be part of the Oscars menu. Ham is a great attraction that always sweeps away big events," declares María Castro, Communication Director of the Spanish brand.
