Tuesday evening, two people were stabbed on a platform at Mulhouse station.

The suspect, a man of Palestinian origin in an irregular situation, was arrested by the police in a state of intoxication.

He was reportedly annoyed by the cries of a 6-month-old baby that one of the victims was carrying.

The attack took place Tuesday evening, shortly before 8 p.m., on a platform at Mulhouse station in Alsace.

A family from the Paris region is getting off the train from Strasbourg when a man armed with a knife attacks one of the family members, injuring him several times in the face.

His cousin, a woman aged around forty, was also injured in the hand while trying to intervene.

The man annoyed by the cries of a baby on the train

The suspect, a man of Palestinian origin who is said to be in an irregular situation, was reportedly annoyed by the cries of the 6-month-old baby that the woman was carrying in her arms at the time of the journey.

He was then found shortly after the attack near Mulhouse station, visibly drunk, then arrested by the police.
