Scientists of the BFU named after Kant have identified a substance in tansy that can slow down aging

The researchers published the results of their work in the publication Pharmaceutics.

Also among the identified beneficial properties of this plant are a decrease in the frequency of cell mutations, an improvement in the absorption of oxygen. In addition, as it turned out, it has antioxidant, antimicrobial and cardioprotective properties.

For the study, tansy was used, hand-picked in the Kaliningrad region.

Tansy is used in balms, cosmetics, dyes, insecticides, natural preservatives.

Earlier it was reported that Russian scientists, together with colleagues from the Davos Physical and Meteorological Observatory, found that due to magnetic storms, up to a quarter of the ozone layer of our planet can be destroyed per day.
