A study carried out by NordVPN highlights the risks incurred by Internet users who view certain films illegally on the Internet.

Regarding "Avatar 2: The Way of the Water", the virtual private network service has identified no less than 16 threats that can seriously damage the computer of its user.

With more than 13.85 million admissions in France,

Avatar 2: The Waterway

was a tremendous success in cinemas.

The American blockbuster even totaled more than 2 billion dollars in revenue while becoming the third most viewed production in history.

A real "Avatar mania" which now continues on illegal websites.

While the film is not yet available in France on streaming platforms, some are still trying to find it on the net, at their own risk.

Indeed, according to the results of a study conducted by NordVPN and relayed by BFMTV, each link to the film on a dubious streaming site would include an average of 1.6 cybersecurity alerts.

In other words, out of ten links identified by the virtual private network service, 16 threats were identified by NordVPN.

Therefore, by browsing any of these sites, you are sure to risk infecting your computer.

Concretely, clicking on these links exposes you to phishing, malicious links, and even viruses.

In the latter case, your data could be damaged or even completely deleted.

"Top Gun: Maverick" also concerned

James Cameron's feature film is not the only one to be particularly sought after lately and to present significant risks for your computer security.

Inisherin's The Banshees

averages 1.25 alerts per link.

Finally, watching the comeback of Tom Cruise in

Top Gun: Maverick

on this kind of site is also very dangerous since the film counts eight threats out of ten links offered.

And while most search engines manage to block dangerous sites, this is not the case with Twitter, where there are a plethora of links to these harmful web pages.

A particularly true trend for

Top Gun: Maverick

which is the subject of Twitter accounts dedicated to highlighting these links on which it is therefore strongly advised not to click.
