Artificial intelligence sets out to conquer search engines

We suspected that the artificial intelligence endowed with ChatGPT conversation, Microsoft's recent revelation, was going to be integrated into its Bing search engine.
It will be in the very near future and, since then, a race has started with Google, which has just presented its counterpart: Bard.
In the same “intelligent” technological fuss, the Chinese Baidu has also decided to modify its search engine.

Leaks on social networks on the specifics of this new Bing, integrated into Microsoft's Edge browser, have been available for a few days here.

An internet search turns into a conversation
It is therefore the arrival of a GPT4 Chat in the Bing search engine that will transform our habits.

The AI would be like a "

-pilot " for users, who can speak directly to the built-in chatbot, according to Microsoft officials.
Ideally, searches will be more efficient and fair and the user experience much more respectful.

This AI will be found everywhere, and it is important on the part of Microsoft, the majority investor in OpenAI, that this is known.

So without further ado, and probably in a hurry, Google announced on Monday February 6 the launch in the test phase of its conversational robot, called Bard.
It's already the race and very soon the fight: Badabing!
The extent of knowledge of the world, power, intelligence... Just that

It's who will be the most "intelligent" among the tech giants who compete in superlatives to boast of the talents of their future machine.
At Google, that reads: “
Bard's ambition is to combine the breadth of the world's knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our great language models.

Then Sundar Pichai, managing director of Alphabet, parent company of Google, continues: the software “
based on information from the web to provide up-to-date and high-quality answers.
It will also, he says, make Bard “
a playground for creativity and a launching pad for curiosity.
We get a bit lost.
The major difference: ChatGPT for Bing draws its answers from a database and not directly from the internet.

Bard looks more like a classic search engine like Google's, which could spell a doomsday scenario for content creators;
that of seeing Bard retrieve content created for Bing by ChatGPT in his searches.
The technological snake biting its tail in front of our amazed eyes...
The new conquest of the West, version search on the internet
Microsoft, Google, are currently among the most important players in artificial intelligence, a technology to which they devote colossal investments.
Meta (Facebook), Amazon as well as Baidu (the Chinese search engine) have also entered the competition.
This integration of artificial intelligence in their products is unavoidable, AI is the new technological promised land.
Chinese company Baidu said on Tuesday that it will complete internal testing of a chatbot-like project similar to ChatGPT called "Ernie Bot" in March.
This is the new conquest of the West, search version on the internet.
Will all shots be allowed?
For now, Microsoft by allying with OpenAI early on has taken a real head start.
Based on the demo I'm watching, Bing just became the best search engine by a mile.

These conversational robots fascinate, but remain disturbing.
