Proton-M rocket with Elektro-L satellite launched from Baikonur cosmodrome

The launch is broadcast by Roscosmos.

The hydrometeorological apparatus "Electro-L" No. 4 was developed at the NPO named after Lavochkin.

These devices are being created within the framework of the Federal Space Program of Russia, they are part of the geostationary hydrometeorological space system "Electro".

Satellites are needed to support the units of the Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
