An autopsy found that a 2-year-old baby who died after being left alone while her mother was away for three days may have died of starvation.

The Child Abuse Special Investigation Team of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency requested an autopsy of the body to the National Institute of Scientific Investigation and received the first verbal opinion that "there is a possibility that he died because food was not supplied for a long time."

The National Forensic Service also said, "It is confirmed that there are no fatal injuries or unusual damage such as wounds and fractures caused by external forces on the victim's body." It is.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for mother A on the charge of child abuse and death under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes today (3rd).

Mr. A is accused of leaving her son alone in a villa in Michuhol-gu, Incheon for three days from the 30th of last month and going out and killing him.

Mr. A returned to her house at around 2 am on the 2nd and found her dead son, but he reported it about an hour and a half later and was arrested by the police.

Mr. A said to the police, "I went to earn money because someone I knew asked for help with work," and she said, "I couldn't return home because the work was over and I slept in the lodging."
