At dawn today (2nd), police officers are gathered at the entrance of a multi-family house in Incheon.

I was dispatched after receiving a report that a two-year-old child had died.

[Kang Tae-kyung/Neighbor: A police car was there, two police officers were now wearing uniforms, and there were also people in plain clothes (there were)]

It was mother A in her 20s who first called 119 saying that her child was not breathing. Paramedics found the child dead and called the police.

As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A left her house on the 30th of last month, leaving her child alone, and she came back in three days.

Mr. A stated that she went to earn money because someone she knew from the police asked for help, and that she could not return home because the work ended late and she slept in an accommodation.

Mr. A lived separately from her husband and stayed with her child, and she was said to have been working as a day laborer.

She has been living here without a move-in report since the year before last.

[Residents of the same villa: Her aunt went out and came in and said that…

I've never met her.]

There is a police line like this in front of the house where the incident occurred, and notices for delinquent utility bills are posted everywhere in front of the door.

In the mailbox was also a Notice of Suspension of Supply Due to Nonpayment of Gas Fees.

The ward office received 250,000 won per month as child and childrearing allowance, but Mr. A is said to have stated to the police that he was struggling with living expenses.

The police arrested her mother, A, on charges of child abuse and death.

In addition, we will confirm whether Mr. A's statement that she went to work is true, and will determine the exact cause of death of her child through her autopsy.
