A few months ago, a Navy high-speed boat collided with a reef in the West Sea and the ship was severely damaged.

However, after the accident, it was revealed as a result of the inspection that the navy officers lied to hide their wrongdoing.

Reporter Park Jae-yeon covered the story exclusively.

On the afternoon of November 6 last year.

A 150-ton class 'Chamsuri 358' high-speed boat belonging to the Navy's 2nd Fleet collided with a reef in the sea near Baengnyeong Island in Incheon.

Her hull was badly damaged and required five months of repairs.

Immediately after the accident, Major A of the accident high-speed suit and Major B of the other high-speed boat operating together in formation reported to the fleet command and control room that "equipment was broken due to collision with an object of fire."

It was an accident that was unpredictable.

Two days after the accident, the follow-up action plan report contained the same content, but as a result of inspection, it was found to be a lie.

The actual collision was a reef that could be confirmed by radar, and it was found that the collision could not be avoided due to the carelessness of Major A, the suit.

In particular, Major A discussed the response with his superior, Major B, while after fifteen days, he instructed the noncommissioned officer in charge of the flight record to delete the record of 18 minutes before and after the collision.

And it was investigated that the forged flight record was reported to the upper level.

During the inspection, the two majors each admitted the charges.

The Navy said, "We are aware of the seriousness of the matter and are conducting a thorough investigation, and we will take special measures to prevent a recurrence."

Previously, in June of last year, after a naval captain falsely reported that the battleship was out of order, it was revealed that he attended the inauguration ceremony of his superior in Jeju, and naval discipline issues came to the fore one after another.
