The section is called "Stalingrad: the great victory of the Great War."

Archival documents of the war years from the funds of the Central Archive of the Russian Ministry of Defense, dedicated to the key stages of the Battle of Stalingrad, from the formation of the Stalingrad Front and the first dramatic pages of the defense of the city to the offensive liberation operations of the Red Army, have been published.

The section also contains photocopies of the decision of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command (SVGK), orders of the People's Commissar of Defense Joseph Stalin, including those written by him personally, as well as combat reports from the front, descriptions of the exploits of the Stalingrad soldiers, captured German operational maps and assessments of the course of the battle for Stalingrad by the German command.

The Ministry of Defense added that the interest of users will be aroused by the published order of the Chief of the General Staff on the establishment, in order to preserve official secrets, of the conditional names of representatives of the SVGK and front commanders.

Earlier, the Federal Security Service of Russia published documents of the Soviet state security agencies about what crimes the Nazi invaders committed during the Battle of Stalingrad.
