A lift stopped at a ski resort in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, and 70 people were rescued in 30 minutes.

According to the Gangwon Fire Headquarters, at around 11:40 am today (29th), the lift to and from the intermediate slope at the Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort stopped.

There were about 70 people on the lift at the time.

The ski resort immediately started an emergency generator and rescued 70 people within 30 minutes.

Immediately after the rescue, two passengers complained of hypothermia, but were reported to have refused to be transported to the hospital.

The ski resort said that the lift stopped when the hydraulic system broke down due to a faulty sensor contact.

An official from the ski resort said, "After the rescue, we checked the health of the guests, and we plan to contact the guests one by one to check their health."
