A man who tried to steal from a gold and silver room with a hammer was beaten by the owner and escaped was arrested.



Seoul Eastern District Court Chief Judge Min Seong-cheol issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in his 30s who was accused of theft held on the afternoon of the 28th, saying, "There is a fear of running away."



Mr. A is accused of threatening Mr. B, the owner in his 60s, with a hammer at a gold and silver store in Geoyeo-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul yesterday at around 11:30 am and attempting to take away money and valuables (robbery injury).



Mr. A ran away after injuring his head in the process of getting into a physical fight with Mr. B.



The police arrested Mr. A, who was receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, within 1 hour and 20 minutes of the crime and applied for an arrest warrant.
