An incumbent police station employee was arrested after drunkenly punching family members who had come to pick him up and rioting at the police box.



The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul booked a man in his 50s who swears and kicked a police officer in a drunken state today (27th) on charges of canceling a public office under the Punishment of Minor Crimes Act.



As a result of the police investigation, Mr. A was identified as a 6th grade administrative employee working at the Guro Police Station in Seoul.



Mr. A received a 112 report at around 1:20 am in a drunken state, and received protective measures at a police box in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul to take over the guardian.



However, it was confirmed that Mr. A was arrested as a current criminal for rioting, such as swearing and assaulting his family who came to pick him up, and even kicking the police officers who were stopping him.



The police have booked Mr. A and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
