If the ruling is upheld, Superintendent Cho will lose his position as superintendent.



According to the Education Autonomy Act and the Public Official Election Act, if you are sentenced to imprisonment or heavier punishment and the sentence does not expire, you are eligible for retirement.



From October to December 2018, Superintendent Cho was charged with special hiring of five teachers, including teachers who were dismissed from the National Teachers and Education Workers' Union, in an unfair way.



Superintendent Cho ordered the person in charge to proceed with special recruitment while holding a tentative decision to hire five people.
