A 20-year-old lifesaver who was handed over to trial for beating a fellow inmate to death in prison was sentenced to death in the second trial, the highest sentence in court.



The 1st-3rd Criminal Division of the Daejeon High Court (Presiding Judge Lee Heung-joo) overturned the first trial sentenced to life imprisonment to Mr. A (28), who was arrested and indicted for murder and other charges, and sentenced him to death.



B (29) and C (21), who were also charged with murder, were sentenced to 12 years in prison and 14 years in prison, respectively.



At the decision trial held on the 13th, the prosecution requested the death penalty for A and 20 years in prison for B and C, respectively.
