Yes, congestion has started in various parts of the highway since the morning.

The number of vehicles passing through the Seoul Tollgate is gradually increasing around lunch time.

As traffic increases, it is expected that traffic congestion will become severe in both directions on the way home and on the way home from the afternoon.

The return route is a bit more congested.

As of 11:00 AM, it takes 7 hours and 30 minutes from Busan to the Seoul Tollgate, 6 hours and 30 minutes from Mokpo, and 3 hours and 40 minutes from Gangneung.

Conversely, if you are departing from Seoul, it takes 5 hours and 40 minutes to Busan, 3 hours and 40 minutes to Mokpo, and 3 hours and 30 minutes to Gangneung based on the Seoul Tollgate.

We will explain the situation while watching real-time highway CCTV.

First, it is near Iljuk Interchange on the Jungbu Expressway.

Cars entering the metropolitan area are biting their tails and walking tortoise.

Next is the vicinity of the Gyeongbu Expressway Anseong Junction.

The flow is relatively smooth in the direction of Busan on the left, but the speed of cars is noticeably slower in the direction of Seoul on the right.

Next, it is near the Yongin Junction of the Yeongdong Expressway.

The flow is smooth in the direction of Incheon on the left, but the road in the direction of Gangneung on the right is full of cars and cannot speed up.

The Korea Expressway Corporation believes that traffic congestion on the way back will reach its peak around 5:00 p.m.

Congestion on the way back is expected to continue until tonight (the 23rd).

On the way back home, traffic increased around 10:00 am, and congestion intensified from 4:00 pm, and it is expected to clear up after 7:00 pm.

It is expected that 380,000 vehicles will move from the metropolitan area to the provinces today, and 510,000 vehicles will move from the provinces to the metropolitan area.

Today's highway traffic is 5.13 million cars, about 1 million less than yesterday, but it is predicted to be about 15% more than usual Saturday.
