Early today (20th), a big fire broke out in Guryong Village, Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
There were no casualties, but the fire quickly spread in an area where old shacks were concentrated and burned down more than 60 houses.

The fire that started near the church in District 4 of Guryong Village spread quickly, devouring shacks made of vinyl and plywood.
The dispatched fire authorities evacuated more than 500 residents and extinguished the fire while establishing a defense line to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby Guryong Mountain.
After 10 firefighting helicopters and 930 firefighting personnel were put in, the fire was completely extinguished at around 11:50 am, about 5 hours later.
The fire burned about 60 houses here, and the places where the houses were were burned beyond recognition.
